The final year of growth at SELC This entire year buzzes with anticipation and excitement as we honour the preschool journey while gently guiding children toward what's next—the “big school.” Our aim is to embrace the present stage, supporting each child’s natural pace and curiosity, while laying the foundations for future learning and life.

Social confidence is our cornerstone. Throughout the year, every activity—whether it’s circle time, snack-time conversations, or outdoor play—is designed to support vital social competencies including Waiting patiently, Speaking up and expressing needs, Embracing challenges ("I can’t do it yet…") Persevering ("Let’s try again!").

These are life skills at the core of school readiness—helping children navigate future classroom routines, collaborate with peers, and build resilience.

Our Smart boards help to add another level of learning into this environment and generates great anticipation amongst the children and brings concepts to life right before their eyes.

Children enjoy exclusive use of the preschool playground allowing for a greater level of challenge, movement and space for cooperative games and and introduction to the structured games of their futures.

We cherish ongoing connections with families and love hearing about your child’s first big school experiences. You’re always welcome to pop in and share the journey!
